Owner
Amber's lifelong love for dogs began at a young age. Even at 4 years old, her family's dogs would only listen to her. She pursued her passion by volunteering at a local shelter at 10 and went on to work at various animal-related facilities including veterinary clinics, doggie daycares, kennels, and grooming salons. She honed her grooming skills at Tails of Hawaii and completed grooming school in 2011.

Amber also studied dog training, honing her skills at K9 Solutions where she trained Personal Protection, Police, and Military dogs. She fell in love with working breeds and got her own Dutch Shepherd, Drogon, and Belgian Malinois, Token. In 2018, she moved to Alabama and worked as a professional dog trainer at Bite Ranch K9, while also opening Zen Dog Grooming in 2020.

At Zen Dog Grooming, Amber aims to create a welcoming and stress-free environment for dogs and their owners. On weekends, she trains her personal dogs and continues her education in dog training at Brag K9 in Atlanta, where she won her first award in personal protection sports in 2022. When she's not working with dogs, Amber enjoys yoga, CrossFit, reading murder mysteries, and spending time with her family and her collection of over 50 plants.
Assistant Manager
Hi there! I'm Emily, but you can call me Em. I prefer she/her or they/them pronouns. It's great to meet you all!

When I'm not spending time with the pups at Zen, I enjoy being a bit of a homebody. I love playing video games and reading any form of written media, including books, comics, manga, and webtoons. Some might say I'm a bit of a nerd! One of my favorite pastimes is sipping tea and singing on my back porch. Being an aunt is one of the best feelings in the world to me. I also love to second-hand shop and collect unique knick-knacks, art, and clothing pieces.
